I’m Katy!

        I am 20 years old and I am aspiring to be a nurse working with babies or the elderly! I love hanging out with kids and cooking! I also love baking! One of the main reasons for choosing my charity FRIENDS WAY was because they hold a very special place in my heart. When my dad passed away when I was 8 years old, my mom found this group on Facebook. My brother and I were invited to attend a trial night and we fell in love. They provide a safe space for kids from 4-18 to cope with a loss of any kind. Once every 2 weeks we would go have pizza and then head downstairs to start our activity for the night. The activities mainly had things to do with coping but they made them fun. My brother and I moved through the groups as we got older. We attended FRIENDS WAY for almost 7 years. FRIENDS WAY is a non profit and free of cost to all who attend.
